On November 2nd, the Greater Peterborough Innovation Cluster will host “Hands-ON” with Bereskin & Parr. Hands-ON is designed to be a series of interactive workshops that will support the growth ambitions of local entrepreneurs.
Hands-ON workshops take place in a small group setting designed to develop the skills needed by early-stage entrepreneurs to successfully start and grow their ventures.
By facilitating interactive, “hands on” learning, this series also helps Peterborough’s youth and student community explore entrepreneurship as a career option.
At this workshop, Bereskin & Parr will cover:
1) Why is Intellectual Property Important?
2) Types of Intellectual Property Protection.
4) Real world examples for combining IP Protection.
Tony Orsi is a patent agent and partner with the Intellectual Property law firm of Bereskin & Parr. Tony has a background in electrical and biomedical engineering as well as business and focuses on helping individuals, companies and universities obtain patents for their inventions in a wide variety of areas including medical devices, electrical and computer technology, mechanical, software and clean-tech. Tony also mentors startups on understanding Intellectual Property rights and devising an IP strategy to help them achieve their business goals.
