ICTC makes these program connections in Peterborough, Barrie, St. Catharines, Niagra region, Toronto, Sudbury, Windsor and Ottawa. Programs are put in place to help support the increasing need for those skilled in digital technology, from software developers, graphic designers, electrical technicians to camera operators.
Programs For Employers
ICTC’s carefully designed wage subsidy program matches fast growth industries with young graduates. The purpose is to enable on-the-job learning and pave a path to potential full-time employment. The program boasts a success factor of around 90% of participants being retained by the employers.
If you are an employer in a high-in-demand sector, offering a full-time paid job in the cities listed, outlining areas in an ICT position that matches this list, and are willing to hire youth 30 or under with little or no experience, you could be eligible to be reimbursed 50% of their wages for about 6 months in the form of a wage subsidy.
The GO Talent program provides employers with the opportunity to connect with Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) with an IT background who are within a short period of arriving in Canada as permanent residents.
Employers can submit job postings and gain full access to the IEP talent pool through the newly launched job portal on eTalent Canada. Find the quality talent you need through GO Talent by creating an account in ICTC’s e-Talent Canada platform.
For Job Seekers
This e-Talent Canada portal is an online interactive map that allows Canadians to access dynamic labour market information. Users are able to search jobs that are available in the digital economy.
