Services » Research Infrastructure

Existing infrastructure at the regional post secondary institutions in Peterborough are already among the best in the world, and the Innovation Cluster aims to continue that reputation. We continuously work with government and the private sector in order to seek opportunities for the development of additional research infrastructure. This development will assist in the attraction of commercial businesses, researchers, and research-related facilities. Currently, opportunities exist to use world-class research infrastructure on a contractual basis with the educational institution. In addition, there are potential opportunities for start-up companies, to form agreements with Trent University for either office space or research equipment. Examples of this infrastructure include a number of specific mass spectrometers in the Worsfold Water Quality Centre, as well as a state of the art DNA Automation Lab with microarray capabilities. See the Clients, Researchers & Projects section for more information.
