Chief Information Officer, SVP Digital Innovation at Ontario Power Generation

Jason is currently the Chief Information Officer & SVP of Digital Innovation at Ontario Power Generation. He began his career at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station in 2000, after graduating from McMaster University with a degree in Engineering Physics. In his tenure with OPG, he has progressed to a variety of leadership positions including Plant Design Manager, Performance Engineering Manager, Design Authority, and Director of Station Engineering. Jason is also a Fellow of the World Nuclear University. Now in the role as Chief Information Officer, Jason passionately champions Innovation & Technology to advance technological solutions within OPG’s fleet and within the overall nuclear industry. He is also the proud founder of an innovation accelerator, called ‘X-LAB.’ The goals of the accelerator are to create an environment that encourages and fosters creative thinking across OPG, drive the development of out-of-the-box solutions, engage and attract employees, drive efficiency improvements, and develop new revenue streams.

Jason is an accomplished private pilot, enjoys hockey, guitar, and relaxing at the cottage. Jason currently resides in Brooklin, Ontario with his wife and daughter.
