As the Operations and Events Manager, Alana’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: day-to-day operations of the two incubators, booking meetings between clients and partners, planning and executing public and private workshops, community outreach, internal and external event planning, and more. Alana makes sure that our clients have fun on a regular basis in the Cube – whether it be a Cube lunch, Fuel Up Monday, costume contest, or a desk decorating challenge – she is the one that makes it happen!

Alana is a Peterborough local; she attended high school and started her post secondary education in Peterborough where she received her BAH in History from Trent University. After graduating she ventured to Ottawa to earn a post graduate certificate in Event Management with honours from Algonquin College. While attending Algonquin Alana was able to coordinate and execute an event for the Children’s Wish Foundation on a budget of $0 and was able to raise $10,500 before event expenses. Alana has been with the Innovation Cluster since 2017, initially starting as the Operations and Events Coordinator four months after graduation.

When not at work you’ll find Alana on the water with her goldendoodle; Mowgli, reading, or watching anything Bravo Tv.
